GARRISON WOODS
GARRISON WOODS
Established in 1998, Garrison Woods is a southwest inner city community in Calgary where you will find a variety of Toronto-style infills and other home styles with European-like streetscapes. Garrison Woods has a fantastic location close to downtown, the Elbow River and amenities, adding a desirability factor to Garrison Woods hard to resist for many Calgary home buyers looking to live an inner city lifestyle. Garrison Woods has an ample amount of amenities and services needed for extended comfort readily accessible in neighbouring communities. These areas are so close it makes walking an option during warmer seasons! Another exciting aspect of Garrison Woods is the fact that it is directly west of Mount Royal University. MRU has recently upgraded itself from college status and are constantly upgrading their faculties and educational programs to accommodate more and more students. On top of these two exciting characteristics, Currie Barracks is developing their own European style retail and commercial district. You might find yourself having to choose between a few different shops simply because there are so many! Crowchild Trail, 33rd Avenue SW, 14th Street SW and Glenmore Trail are a few of the routes immediately available to residents. Calgary’s Military Museums are also located within the community (a Top 5 Best Calgary Museum!)
